Caroline is most inspired by the confluence of science, anthropology, history, and art that meets in a wine bottle.  She began studying wine & winemaking in 2000, began working in the wine industry in 2003, and has been learning, tasting, and sharing it ever since.  She earned her first level sommelier certificate in 2005, her second level (with distinction) in 2017, and continues to learn from winemakers & tastemakers every day.  

After helping friends manage their wine cellars and recommending wine purchases & pairings for years, she launched Curated Cellar in 2016 to pursue her passion full time.  She travels to wine regions regularly to maintain and develop relationships with winemakers (both well known and up-and-coming), and keeps up stateside with importers, retailers, and auction houses to provide her clients with access to the world's greatest wines.   She loves the hunt and will search for anything a client desires, whether it’s a rare Burgundy, grower Champagne at a party price point, or something to pair with Tuesday’s takeout.

Ultimately, Caroline believes that the wine you most enjoy drinking is the best wine for you and, with that in mind, strives to match wine with each individual client.
